Real-Time Fuel Cell Humidity Sensor (HS-1000)
The HS-1000 uses patent pending miniature laser technology to enable real-time, accurate, and reliable in-situ measurement of the humidity of the inlet and outlet gases in fuel cell testing and operation.
The HS-1000 is a non-contact sensor with a laser beam passing though the flowing gas. It continuously scans the laser on and off the water absorption line and uses the off-line signal to constantly re-calibrate the sensor for changes in the laser, detector, or sample cell conditions. The continuous calibration provides accurate readings without maintenance. Furthermore, as a non-contact sensor it is less susceptible to condensation or contamination that can accompany chilled mirror technology.
